Some roads are longer than others, and Chuto’s road has definitely had some twists and turns. He hasn’t let the hard times dim his sweet personality or dull his outlook on people though. Chuto was removed from a neglectful situation. He came into rescue emaciated and with a case of demodectic mange, a juvenile form of mange which occurs when a puppy’s immune system does not kick in on time. (This does not re occur and is under control at this point.) He is still a little on the slender side but is gaining weight well and is up to 125 lbs (from 98lbs at intake). Chuto is a very charming boy who enjoys being fussed over and loved on. A playful goofball, Chuto loves tug of war, hopping and playing and going for walks. He is great on a leash but not a fan of getting caught in the rain…no word on how he feels about Pina coladas.
Chuto still has some recovering to do, however, you can see from the pictures below that he has come a long way. His eyes will need to be evaluated when he is further along to see if he will require surgery for ectropion.
If you need a loving playful companion in your life please consider Chuto.
